Tuesday

Above is a slide from a recent Green Committee presentation that gives an overview of the project.

Working with golf course architect, Ron Forse, we've thought about creative ways to solve some perennial drainage issues on the golf course.  #8 green complex will look slightly different when you return in the Spring of 2022.  The biggest challenge with #8 is the volume of surface water that passes by that green complex.  The first step to solving this problem, was doubling the size of the culvert pipe that carries the creek below the approach.  Behind the green, we've relied on an 18" inlet basin to gather all of the surface water that collected there.  Rather than having just one inlet to capture all of the water, we decide to extend the creek bed, that will be able to carry far more water than a 12" pipe ever could.

Since the creek bed was extended toward the green, a 13' cart bridge will be needed to cross the creek.  Using the engineering plans from #10 a few years ago, we are able to construct the bridge ourselves.

Cart path edge is prepped for granite curbing installation.

With the footers dug, we are laying block that will support the bridge structure.
