The front nine fairways and rough have been aerated and now we are on to the 2nd step in the process: aggressive verticutting. This removes more thatch closer to the surface and creates tiny channels for sand to settle following topdressing. Over time, verticutting offers a lot more benefits like smoother, firmer fairways and denser turf.
