This afternoon, Rita and I drove down to Franklin, to a business called Perry’s Water Garden. The place consists of acres and acres of ponds and wetlands where they grow a variety of aquatic plants. It’s absolutely beautiful! If you happen to be in Franklin and this kind of stuff interests you, it’s worth your time to check it out. Our mission was to select a handful of aquatic plants that we can propagate in our ponds. The 200ft2 wetland area on the left of #12 is the main area I’d really like to enhance and beautify and this project motivated me to make the trip down the hill. Below you can see some photos of the property. Harvesting the plants takes some time because it involves the owner putting on waders and getting out into the water. Therefore, the order we placed won’t be ready until the end of next week. Stay tuned for more on the subject next week!
