Above, we started the process of edging cart paths. You can see the sharp bladed wheel is positioned at an angle so when the grass is cut, it is pushed onto the cart path where it can easily be picked up.
You can see the work on number #5 is well underway. The first 2 days involve a lot of prep work to set the geotextile fabric and stitch the multiple sections and ends together. Special knots are used to tie off to the stakes and these knots require a lot of time. As weight it added to the fabric in the form of soil, the knots are tied in such a way that they become tighter. This project will be wrapped up and sodded by Tuesday of next week.
On Thursday, the irrigation system was pressurized for the the purpose of having irrigation water available at the new croquet lawn. The water is required to pack the sand rootzone so we can lay sod on the firmest surface possible. Speaking of sod, next Tuesday is the tentative date for sod, coming from New Jersey.
