Above and Below: Drainage on #10 is a unique challenge because water comes from several different sources, converging on that one hole. Water is constantly trapped in the pine straw bed on the right side of the hole. We are installing a large catch basin in that low depression and piped the water to the creek.
Further up toward the approach, a spring head (see video a few posts down) was constantly providing surface water to the cart path just beyond the last bridge. In the summer, it always stayed wet and in the winter, it's an ice skating rink and dangerous spot for walkers. By pinpointing the spring, we were able to divert the water to a nearby basin via 4" drain pipe. See the next 3 photos.
Above: this is the driest this section of cart path has been in a year thanks to us locating that spring head.

The Highlands CC firewood reserve is getting larger as logs are brought in off the golf course.
There are 2 large bald eagles that are circling Club Lake over the last 2 weeks. They are beautiful birds and wonderful to see. Unfortunately, they have an appetite for trout and have recently been seen in mid air with a trophy brown trout.
