Our 2,100 Rainbow Trout were delivered this afternoon! These fish were raised at a hatchery in Franklin, NC named Tellico Trout Farm. The guys down there do a great job and I love the fact we're supporting a local business. Check out the slow motion video of these 10-14" rainbows coming down the chute on the truck at Hummingbird Road bridge. We also take about 100 fish to #1 pond and 200 fish to #15 pond. This is the best time of year to stock because of the frigid water temperatures that are high in dissolved oxygen.
We are expecting a 2nd delivery of fish on Wednesday. This delivery is coming from Brevard and will contain some serious trophies! The 600 total fish count will contain 19+ inch browns and brookies! You'll definitely want to read the blog on Wednesday evening! This next stocking will make for some great memories on the lake and happy anglers this summer,
