Tuesday started with a very cold 17*F morning.
Above: Every winter, our excavator is put to serious use. A list of projects and needs for the equipment is developed and we work our way around the golf course. This particular equipment is slow to transport, so it's best to start on a given hole and work our way around from area to area.
Above and Below: In addition to repairing the creek banks on the 15th hole, we are also raising all on the ground along the cart path. If you recall, these areas were often low, wet and cavitating from the decaying tree roots below. This will all be playable turf- 2" mowed kentucky bluegrass.
Above: We eliminated the remainder of the underbrush between 14 and 15. In January, we are renting a large excavator to dig stumps, grade the elevation and prepare for sod installation. This is going to be a serious improvement you're about to see.
