After 5 days, we have quite a bit of germination on our new bentgrass nursery. The varieties Pure Distinction, 007 and Penn A4 were the first to germinate in about 4 days after seeding. This week, the reminder of seed will germinate.
The tiny seedlings you see in this photo require a lot of water. If they were to dry out, they would die. The irrigation on the nursery runs every 3 hours for 8 minutes per station.
