Monday

This morning we are aerifying the fairway on #10- all of it with the walk behind artificer to give us a close hole spacing. It's important to stay aggressive on holes like #10 and #12 at HCC because the fairways are constructed from a sand base, which doesn't contain the microbes that naturally break down organic matter like a native soil fairway would have. A sand based fairway (or green or tee) will always require more inputs and commitment to topdressing and aerating to be sure the organic matter is kept to a minimal level.

This is an impressive photo I saw on WLOS. There is still no rain in the forecast and the low humidity and breezes are making the fire fighting effort very difficult.
