The new bridge on #10, according to the crane operator, weighs between 8,000 -10,000 lbs. That's 4 or 5 tons! We are going to slope the ground to the ends, but after studying this today, I decided to wait until we resod the roughs this winter and fix the erosion on the approach side of the fairway. This will allow us to tie it all together nicely.
The woods left of #10 received a little haircut. This side continues to encroach and shrinks the landing area.
Did you know the area behind the 18th green used to be lake?! It was filled in decades ago and this year we are going to finish the job. We will install drainage and connect the culvert from under Dillard Rd to the lake. This area will forever be dry and level after this year. It will also save money by allowing us to dump fill material here from other projects. That is why it was important to rough this in now rather than waiting till winter.
