The weather today in Highlands has been wonderful. Although temperatures reached up into the lower 60's today, we still need our nighttime temperatures to increase to at least 50* in order to have good growing conditions for our greens. Above, Christian is raking the fairway bunker on #1, although the bunkers appear finished, we still have a few details that will take place next week. Monday we will have a crew go to each bunker to tamp and pack the sand. With new sand, you naturally have a 'fluffier' bunker due to large macro-pores that form when the sand is brought in. With packing, and raking multiple times next week, the end result will be a more firm bunker to hit out of as most prefer.
