I was proud to represent the turfgrass industry in Raleigh the past 2 days. During our time there, we met with the Dean of Ag Sciences of NC State, Steve Troxler, Agricultural secretary and the governor of NC, Pat McCrory. As the NC legislative chairman for the Carolina's GCSA, I work closely with our paid lobbyist on issues facing the golf industry. I will return on April 22 for NC Golf Day. This is a joint program I am heading up. I will be joined with several golf course owners, PGA professionals, club managers (CMAA), architects and several folks from the Carolina's golf association. I really enjoy this aspect of the business and feel I am contributing to the industry as a whole. It is all about being proactive.
