Monday

With the golf course open for play starting this Friday, we are getting some of the details worked out.  Bunkers are being raked and prepped for play.  It is important to have them raked a few times before the course opens so the sand is loosened up and not so compacted after a long winters worth of rain and snow.

A few members of the staff are topping off divots in fairways.  The white sand we use to topdress fairways with really makes the divots stand out.  Therefore, topping them off with green sand hides them a bit more.

Greens are being mowed for the 1st time in 2015!  They look great but still very bumpy and very slow.  We spend a tremendous amount of time and money putting sand on these greens.  The last thing we want to do  is pick it all up with our mowers by trying to mow too close this time of year.  With the weather we've had, I am shooting for solid conditions during the 1st week of May.  Of course, that is dictated 100% by the temperatures!
