I am at the Golf Industry Show in San Antonio this week. This annual event is great for networking and education. I am currently in a grassroots ambassador education session dealing with upward influence on our elected officials. GCSAA has a goal to pair every member of congress with a golf superintendent to keep them abreast of issues that impact the golf business. Naturally, I am paired with Rep Mark Meadows (NC-11). In addition to this session, we have monthly teleconferences to learn about issues on the horizon.
