Friday

 
 
With the temps reaching a balmy 28*F, we are able to get back out on the course.  We are building 2 surge stone rock dams just south of the Ferguson pond to capture any sediment that comes our way.  We don't want this sediment to end up in our pond, which is currently being dredged.
 
 
That's right, there is a man swimming in the lake today!  Above and below, you can see the dredging operation in progress as they pump sediment away from the edges of the pond.  This is a pretty exciting project since these ponds have been needing this for years!
 


In the shop, we are adding steps to a storage area above the breakroom.  Before, a ladder was needed to access the area.  I made the decision solely for safety reasons to install a flight of steps to the area. 

 
Finally below, we have the chipper back out on the golf course and staff working on the rhododendron above the 5th tee complex.
