Each year, we spend a considerable amount of time cutting back rhododendron on the golf course. This native shrub is quite aggressive and will creep in, slowly making the golf course "tighter." It also reaches a time when it starts dying back at the tips and loosing leaves. This is always a sign it needs pruned. The great thing is, when Rhododendron is pruned back to the ground, it rejuvenates itself and comes back even stronger, denser, greener and more attractive. We rotate areas around the property that are pruned so you aren't looking at excessive bare stumps in a given area. The other added benefit is exposing beautiful trees, like this huge Oak between #2 and #3!
