You can see the progression of our work on the 5th hole today. We certainly made something out of this old drainage ditch. After the new headwall was constructed we sodded the top to help stabilize the soil in the event of rain. You can see we did not sod the creek banks themselves. This is because we want fine fescues established on these banks and the only way to achieve that is through seeding this spring. We are going to allow all of the surrounding rhododendron to re-establish itself on the banks as well. The end result will be a great improvement to the 5th hole!
