After 3" of rain, the turf on the golf course really perked up. We mowed greens this afternoon (first time since last Thursday) and they are really improving. Again, we can't expect them to dense u until we get substantially warmer temps. However, the greens look great and healthy for this time of year. Spring growth is always very tender and soft. It is not the time of year to lower the height. It is important to let them come out of dormancy and rejuvenate a healthy root system leading into the summer. Trying to push greens this time of year could be disastrous for the summer.
