Driving Range

The back of the driving range has been a clean fill dumping ground for the last 13 years.  Over that time we haul everything from grass clippings to sod scraps.  We do not put anything there that can't decompose quickly like logs or limbs.  This is strictly soil, sod and occasionally concrete which is safe to bury.  The area is becoming quite full.  I have a grading contractor on site who is cleaning this area up.  My ultimate goal would be to accumulate enough fill to where we could level the back quarter of the range.  In order to do that, we have a few good years left of using this site.  It has prevented us from having to pay to haul this material off site.  In fact, I estimate this to cost savings to be in the neighborhood of $150,000 over the past 12 years.  It has also been used to stockpile fill from both the Clubhouse renovation in 2005 and this year's LEC renovation.  This spring, we will hand rake the whole area and hydroseed it, allowing it to better blend with the rest of your driving range.
