The Hummingbird Rd bridge had a considerable amount of erosion occurring around it. We not only attend to the golf course but also club owned roads including these type of projects.
An emergency white pine removal took place today on Club Circle. This white pine was beginning to uproot. Every time the wind blew, you could see the bulge in the grass. This was a very dangerous situation because this tree would have split the neighbors house in half. I am very vigilant about these trees. Which, brings me to my next point...The white pine is NOT native to Highlands. The initial population was planted. Boy that was a mistake!
One team member is sweeping fairways to pick up the debris from the fairway verticutting process. It is a very mundane job as you are required to drive at a very slow speed for the sweeper to be effective.
Here are the results of the creek enhancement on #5. We are lacking a few pallets of sod in the foreground but we are expecting a load on Monday or Tuesday, weather permitting.
