Frost Damage

You can clearly see 2 black tire tracks. This is from a member driving a cart in the rough during a frosty morning. When turf freezes, the individual cells that comprise the plant are frozen solid. When someone walks on the grass or drives on it, the plant breaks in half, rupturing the cells. The end result will be dead turf that won't recover until spring. This is why we delay golf until it warms up and the turf thaws. Thank you again for your understanding.
