We are fertilizing the golf course wall to wall today with a product called Polyon. Polyon (manufactured in Sylacauga, AL) is a slow release fertilizer that will last the duration of the season. It is a great product that I have been very happy with for the last 7-8 years. We are able to spread higher rates of nutrients because of its slow release characteristics. This also makes it much more environmentally friendly and safe to apply. The fertilizer also contains a pre-emergent chemical for crabgrass prevention.
