Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association

The CGCSA held meetings Sunday and Monday at Myers Park CC in Charlotte and later at Jacobsen Headquarters in Charlotte.  The meeting dealt with a number of topic effecting superintendents in the Carolinas.  The CGCSA employees 2 lobbyists on retainer...one in NC and one in SC.  They deal with a number of governmental issues whether it be watering restrictions or labor issues etc.  It is important for our elected officials to realize the economic impact golf has in the Carolina's.  It is huge!  I will be making rounds in Raleigh with him in May, during NC's National Golf Day.
