The best source for local weather is highlandsweather.net. The Weather Channel is not reliable particularly when it comes to snow events. Their model is based somewhere on the TN/NC line which receives a lot more snow than Highlands. highlandsweather.net is done locally by Kenton David. He is amazingly accurate!
