After I posted this picture on the previous post, it reminded me of something. This is the only spot on the entire property where Bermudagrass is actively growing. You can see the dormant turf on this picture. It actually serves us well on parts of the lake bank because it is more drought tolerant than any cool season species on these south facing slopes. If the bermudagrass was growing in shady, north facing slopes, it would most likely succumb to winterkill.
