Laying sod on the PG. This is the sod that was removed from the old green and reused. It will be ready for play in May with the other greens as they heal from aerification.
About 2 dozen Mallards showed up today on the pond on #10. I have not observed any using the new duck house.
Jerry Dalton is taking advantage of dryer weather and our new aerifier by starting on fairways and roughs. Once the aerification process is complete, we will topdress fairways with sand.
We started several drainage projects around the course. #5, #6 and #11 will all benefit from improved drainage in areas. A rented trencher helps us dig nice clean, strait ditches with minimal repair.
As mentioned in previous posts, we addressed several bunker faces. The old sod was stripped off, and new Kentucky Bluegrass was installed. This is a challenging project given the steep slopes surrounding the bunkers.
