Today was a big day! As promised, the tree removal at the Club Lake Dam was completed, marking the beginning of phase II dam renovations. I was pleasantly surprised that the area isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be, driving by on Dillard Road, headed towards downtown. It was sad to see some of those Oak trees go, but understanding the reason why, makes total sense. We don't want those tree roots to compromise the work we'll be starting on in December. Stay tuned for a lot more updates to come on this important Club project!
The power poles in the very center of this photo, with the two transformers on them, will be removed in the next month after we turn the irrigation off for the winter season.
