A half acre of sod was installed today, bringing closure to a number of projects. At the practice facility, new Kentucky Bluegrass was installed around the new slabs.
You can see we eliminated some pine straw beds by grassing right up to the trees. Pinestraw is an unnatural look in the mountains.
On #12, the epoxy was sprayed to the gravel layer. This product binds up the gravel yet it remains porous, meaning water can move through it. After another day or so, the sand will be added to these two bunkers.
Also on #12, the approach turf was installed today as well. The only thing lacking on these two projects are grass on the greens and sand in #12 bunkers. As I mentioned yesterday, we are going to grass the greens during the week of March 10th.
