The drought was was fun while it lasted but it looks like we're back into another wet weather pattern. As a superintendent, I'd take those drought conditions any day over wet weather. We were able to push the limits on greens and maintain them extra firm and fast, something we don't always get the chance to do because of our climate. I loved the way the weather challenged us in the mornings, making sure the golf course was set up properly for the day, from a moisture perspective. We learn a lot about our turf during those times and because of that, it's so invaluable. While we are in a damp period now, there will be more droughts and when they come, I'll be sure to enjoy them and not wish them away so quickly.
