Golf course architect, Ron Forse, was on site today to look at a few projects and review what’s been done thus far. Ron was very pleased with the progress that’s been made. We spent a lot of time studying the left side of #13 green (below) with our contractor, Earl Sanders, and members Mr. Smith and Green Chairman, Mr. Jackson. Our goal is to regrade the area to help contain more shots that are hit left of the green. This is not an easy project for a number of reasons due to the tremendous drop-off and wetland on the left side of the green.
The contractor is laser leveling the 9th tee box. You can see the box blade on the back of the tractor, communicates with a unit that is setup about 20’ in front of the tee. The blade raises and lowers automatically as needed to move sand to level the tee.
