It's been a crazy week with an unpredictable weather forecast and two big golf events on top of that. It's one of those weeks you can only take it a day at a time and focus on the things we can control. We are topdressing greens after Member/Member Tournament play. We always stay out of the way of golfers during events like this. It makes us less efficient but it allows the tournament to go smoother and eliminates distractions during a first class event. The Ladies Partnership Tournament begins tomorrow and we'll have the exact same protocol for the ladies, as we do the men.
Below, Wayne is using a tool called a "Level-Lawn" that smooth's the divot sand on the tees. This is why I ask you to leave filling tee divots to us. Running this hand tool back and forth over recently applied sand, keeps the sand at the proper height where the sand isn't impacting our mower reels and the surface is level when we are finished. Most importantly, allowing us to handle tee divots prevents the need to have those bulky, and ugly sand boxes on the tee. Our goal has always been to reduce the clutter that can accumulate on the golf course.
