Above, we had two geese briefly touch down in the lake before Hap had a chance for a meet and greet. This what happens when Hap locks in on them. He is relentless until they fly away! Geese feel safe in the water because they are protected- unless of course there's a local Border Collie that likes to swim too and is nipping at your tail feathers.
It's always a pretty sight when the Common Bluets make their appearance along stream and pond banks across the golf course. This wildflower is a sure sign that spring is definitely here. They are about 2 weeks earlier than normal due to the warmer early spring season we've had.
The new 2-track maintenance road we put in behind the 16th green looks really good and reduces the overall amount of gravel that is seen from the tee. We are also putting an acid stain on the rocks to darken it even further. You can see Chad applying what looks like an orange stain. That will not stay that color. After the stain has time to react with the minerals in the gravel, it will become a deep brown color that essentially goes away in the distance.
