Today was the 7th Annual Highlands CC Greenkeeping Foot Golf Championship held at the storied RedBird Golf Links in Sapphire, NC. This annual event is a nine hole tournament that is a mix of soccer and golf. Instead of clubs, your foot and a soccer ball are your tools and the goal is to get the ball in the giant 24" cup in as few strokes (or kicks in this case) as possible. This has become a fun tradition everyone looks forward to in October each year. Trophies are given to the top three.
This years 3rd place finisher was Chris Chavez (far right), 2nd place went to Lyn Zalapa (center) and the 2022 champion is Baldemar Vanegas! Congratulations boys!
