Every Autumn, the sun angle changes to a lower point in the sky. This creates more shade on our greens. These are just two examples, #3 and #8. In these two cases, sunlight doesn't reach the green until after 11:00am. This makes for an incredibly challenging situation. Keeping a dense stand of turf on the greens isn't easy and requires backing off maintenance practices because the turf isn't as resilient as turf growing in full sun.
