Driving Range Aeration and Fertilization

This morning, we are taking advantage of the light amount of play and aerating the two chipping greens and the approach with 3/8" tines.  These two chipping greens were sodded, rather than seeded like the putting green at the practice facility.  Therefore they have a "thatch layer" that we need to aggressively remove over time.  These greens will not be topdressed at this point.  Once they are rolled and cleaned up, you won't know we were there from looking at them from the tee.  We are also aerating the entire approach area in hopes of encouraging water to move down.

This morning, we also fertilized the whole body of the range and the tee with a 22-0-18 product.  Between these two practices, we'll be sure the practice facility looks great for the remainder of the season.
