I am happy to report, the pond on #2 is repaired and is filling back to capacity as I type this. The repair has been delayed a week due to other more important tasks on our plate like spraying fairways and hand watering. We purchased a load of red clay to rebuild the bank where water was getting behind and under the liner covering the spillway. Our next step will be to remove all of the rock on the spillway and re-install it to keep as much water on the surface as opposed to being hidden behind the rocks.
After the pond was drained, we were shocked to see how many trout are in this pond! I assumed they washed into the pond on #1.
It is so interesting how the lily pads reorient themselves after the pond is filled up again. They don't miss a beat!
