Wednesday

It is hard to believe its been nearly 3 years since we added the Bob Jones Rock/Statue over #10 creek.  If you are lucky, you might recall the ugly carving of Jones that sat behind the administration offices for a number of years.  Under the watchful eye of then Green Chairman, Glen Davis, we flipped Mr. Jones over on his belly and used said rock as a bridge on #10 in 2016.  In just three years,  the bridge has turned to folklore.  Legend has it, that if you are playing poorly, kneeling down and reaching under the rock to rub Jones' belly will refocus your attention and you will immediately start to shave strokes off your game!

While marking the golf course today, we also painted 'ground under repair' as well.  On several holes, golfers have the tendency to ignore the exit stakes and then return to the cart path in notorious shady and wet rough areas.  This is one of those things that with golfer support, we can keep the golf course in better condition.  We put the entry and exit stakes in different areas for good reason- mostly through our experience of which areas get worn worse than others.  Please help us in this area!
