The green committee will be discussing some alternative materials to use on our mulch paths. This particular path on on #17 has grown far too wide. We narrowed it back down and seeded the left side of it. The gray colored material is Penn Mulch, a recycled newspaper product that swells and acts as a mulch by retaining moisture for the seed. It also contains a starter fertilizer as well. You guessed correctly that Penn Mulch was developed by an agronomy professor at Penn State University, a small school in the north. 😁
