New Practice Facility Staff

The practice facility at Highlands CC just got a jolt of fresh and exciting energy.  Our seasonal team of Jessica, Mattson and Tyler has departed for the time being.  Jessica, who did a wonderful job for us is taking on a larger teaching role at Southwestern Community College this fall.  Tyler is on his way to NC State University where he will start his Freshman year as an engineering major.  Mattson, will be a freshman at UNC Charlotte.  There is no question all will be successful in all they put their mind to.  In the meantime, life at HCC doesn't end!  Please join me in welcoming the new Practice Facility team:

Marc Fatigati

Marc was born in St. Petersburg, FL but moved to Cashiers at the age of 8.  He was raised in the Highlands/ Cashiers area where he graduated from the Highlands School in 2000.  After attending Southwestern Community College for a year, he moved to Hilton Head, SC where he attended the Professional Golf Career College and graduated after two years.  He moved back to Cashiers where he spent a year working as an assistant golf professional at Headwaters.  He then completed a several year stint as an assistant at Vinoy GC in St. Petersburg, FL.  Recently, life brought him back to the Cashiers area where he is excited to be part of Highlands CC team.  Marc is very outgoing and extremely attentive.  Please don't hesitate to ask him for anything you might need to make your practice facility experience better.

Gustavo Velasco (Gus)

While Marc may be outspoken, Gus is quiet and reserved but ready to fill the needs at the Practice Facility.  Gus was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico which is in the southern portion of the country.  He came to the US in 2006 and went on to graduate from Franklin High School. He earned an associates degree in Fine Arts from Southwestern Community College.  Gus has a passion for soccer and art, specifically acrylic painting.  At only 23 years old, he speaks 3 languages fluently.

I am proud of the team members that were hired to meet your expectations at the practice facility.  As always, if there is anything we can do to enhance your experience at Highlands CC, we would love to know.
