Really early mornings are always nice on the golf course. For the last few days, the greenkeeping team has been getting to work early- 4:30 AM early. Keep in mind, most of the team has a 45 minute to a 1 hour drive to work. Needless to say, we aren't getting much sleep. However, it is necessary in order to get the course mowed out before play. Due to the afternoon thunderstorms, we modified our schedule to do all work in the morning, rather than the afternoon. We are continuing to mow rough in the evenings but fairway and approach mowing has been moved to the morning.
It looks like the weather will hold for the morning match but after 12 noon, it looks a little suspect. By 2:00 pm, there is an 85% chance of thunderstorms.
