Tuesday


It is the time of year where many insects are laying eggs.  A common place for some moths to lay eggs is on fiberglass flagsticks or on the flags themselves.  This is most likely cutworm eggs (a cutworm is the larval stage a particular moth) or armyworm eggs.  While armyworms are rare in Highlands, I have seen them brought in on sod from farms in the deeper south.  Armyworms can be extremely destructive in the fall season.



Here is the seven day forecast- believe it or not, we could actually use some rain!  The high skies, low humidity and breeze really dries the soil quickly.
