Tuesday

It looks like we finally have a sunny day in Highlands!  With that, we are out in full force this morning working on a number of projects.  Above, we started to Graden verticut the greens this morning.  This machine is essentially a series of small table saw blades that cut grooves in the green about 1.25" deep.  The grooves are then filled with dry sand.  You can see above, where the organic matter that was removed is brought to the surface where it can be easily cleaned up.

The turf on the fairways and intermediate rough is starting to actively grow.  We are mowing fairways this morning as well as double cutting the I-rough.

Tomorrow, we are getting a tractor trailer load of sod in- approximately 9,000 square feet.  Therefore, we are spending a good bit of time preparing areas that need to be resodded.
