Late this morning, we released about 3,000 fish into the lakes and ponds on the Highlands CC campus! This video is the release of the "1 pounders" which are approximately 13-14" fish. Some of the fish were as big as 24-30" known as "the trophies." These fish are raised locally at Tellico Trout Farm in Franklin, NC. All are rainbow trout. Brown and Brook Trout are extremely difficult to get and are expensive. These trout compliment our Largemouth Bass population which continues to grow.
