Alabama National Championships and a Tree on #7...

We recently were forced to remove an Oak Tree on #7 that was dead.  As I normally do, I enjoy counting the rings to determine the age of the tree.  In this case, it was 136 years old, born in 1882!  That is the year Thomas Edison flipped the switch to the first commercial electrical power plant in the United States, lighting one square mile of lower Manhattan. This is considered by many as the day that begins the electrical age.  As you continue along, you can see all of the years the Alabama won the National Championship in Football as they go for yet another tonight.  I figure some will appreciate this and others, not so much! 😊
