After Matthew spent the afternoon digging on #6, we got down to a nice spot to be able to capture and contain this ground water flowing under the 6th fairway. The water is coming from a spring further up the hillside but it wouldn't be feasible to continue chasing it up the hill. Whenever that much rock is so shallow below the ground, springs are bound to pop up periodically. Next week, we'll be cleaning this site up, back-filling the hole with pipe, gravel and sand and then prepping for sod installation. I'm confidant that this will solve this drainage issue once and for all.
