Fungicide Application

Each year, we make two fungicide applications for preventative Pink Snow Mold control.  The first application occurs during the first 2 weeks of December with a follow up application that will be made in Mid-February.  The Mid-February application is the more critical of the two because the fungus is most prevalent during wet conditions that occur when the soil begins to thaw in early spring.  All tees and greens are sprayed while hard to get to areas on several tees are treated with a granular fungicide that can be applied with a rotary spreader (below).  Despite what the name suggests, snow cover is not required for Pink Snow Mold to be active.
