Monday

A limb broke out of the prettiest tree on the property- the American Holly behind the 14th green.  After cleaning the limb up, it goes unnoticed, fortunately.  This tree is very old and is showing signs of decline.  However, I'm doing everything we can like annual "verti-mulching" to prolong its life.  This allows additional oxygen and fertilizer to reach the root system.

If you played golf this past weekend, you saw the pin on the 2nd green.  Every night this past fall, a bear has been stealing the flag stick and batting at it like a toy.  It destroys the surrounding grass and pin location.  On Friday night, the bear was at it again.  Unfortunately, the green is frozen so we couldn't just move the pin (we can't get the cup changer into the ground).  Thank you for your patience with this!  #2 green is one of the coldest spots on the golf course due to the lack of sunlight that reaches the area.
