As I mentioned several times on the blog as well as an eBlast that was sent to you...
We will be DryJecting greens tomorrow (Tuesday, September 4th).
The two graphics below explain a little more about the process. Of course, this is nothing new at Highlands CC. We've been using this tool as part of our cultural practice program for the last 12 years, three times per year (once in September and twice in November). Tee times are blocked off until 11:00 am. The greens will be very bumpy tomorrow until we have a chance to drag the excess sand on the greens and roll late Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, this can't be done until the surface of the green is completely dry. 11:00 am is too early for that. By Wednesday morning, we should be well on our way to being smoothed out. The croquet lawns will not be dryjected but will be aerified with small pencil tines and lightly topdressed with sand. Thank you again for your patience and understanding of these practices that are critical to keep our greens healthy and playable all season.
