All three croquet lawns are being aerated and sand topdressed this morning despite the rain. After a long season of non-stop play and our every increasingly popular croquet program, the lawns are in much need of it. The foot traffic in the corners and around the wickets really begin to show about a 1/4 of the way into the year. Croquet is a unique game- think of it like golf only we never get to move the pin loction. You can only imagine the wear that would be experienced around the hole! We are using 5/8" hollow tines and then hand brooming the sand into the holes.
