This is how a golf course in Florida is dealing with contamination of Seashore Paspalum in their Bermudagrass fairways. The root system of the Paspalum is so deep, the grass is removed in addition to an 8-10" depth of soil. This ensures the grass won't re-establish from rhizomes and roots that are left in the soil. New sand will be used to fill these areas and then it will be topped with new Bermudagrass sod. Given that selective chemical control isn't reliable or consistent with this grassy weed, physical removal is necessary. This is a pretty impressive commitment on behalf of this particular golf course!
